We would like to focus upon the formation of acteamo with this initial posting.
The concept for acteamo originated at a cloud and data security conference. Our two founders were asked by an attorney to develop a secure software to be used by their legal team. Although acteamo was developed with a focus upon the legal industry, this innovative team management tool ultimately was made accessible to several other user groups.
Our vision was to incorporate modern working standards and techniques with a cloud service. More and more teams are being built on a project-by-project basis and upon completion the project team is disbanded. Often freelancers are involved in projects where much of their required work is done in a satellite or home-office. Therefore, all project – relevant data is must always be available. acteamo is 100% web-based and supports location and device – independent work.
Data security is and will remain our top priority. Although there always exists a possibility of a data breach while connected to the Internet, we can reduce that risk that sensitive data can be accessed by non-authorized users through proprietary owned software. None of the data is stored at third-party, external service providers and it is also encrypted for added security.
The development of this specialized software began in October of 2013 in Europe. All of your data is secured in Switzerland in our data center.
The first release of acteamo was published in September 2014. It includes the following features: project and contact management, document management, and a timer function. All persons involved in a project can easily exchange documents.
Currently a team of 14 committed people work tirelessly everyday to improve this software.
The next major software release includes an innovative feature for issuing invoices that contain all project-relevant data. The invoice is sent as a PDF where it can be shared by all appropriate personnel.
