In our first post we would like to tell you about the history of acteamo.

The idea for acteamo was born at a conference about cloud- and data-security, when two of our founders were asked by a lawyer to develop a safe software for mobile team-work. Initially acteamo was meant to be used exclusively by lawyers. But eventually we decided to make this innovative tool for team-management available for a larger circle of users.

It was our vision to meet the requirements of the new working conditions using cloud services: Teams are more and more created for separate projects and break up after completion. Freelancers are often included in projects and home-offices are becoming more common. This requires the permanent availability of project-relevant data. Because acteamo is web-based, it supports location- and device-independent working.

Data security is our first priority. Even though there is no such thing as a safe, internet-connected computer, we can minimise the risk of data falling into the wrong hands by using our own hardware. Data will not be stored with external providers, and transmission is always encrypted. Your data will be stored in a data-center in Switzerland.

Simple usage of software is also important nowadays – all necessary teammanagement tools can be controlled in one browser-window. This leaves time for the ultimate essential: creativity. The software’s development began in October 2013. We are developing Europe-wide.

We launched acteamo’s first release in September. It includes the following features: project- and contact management, document management and timer-function. All people involved in a project can share documents with each other, even if not working at the same company.

Currently we are a team of 14 people working daily on further developing the software.

The next major release will include an innovative feature for creating invoices and quotations, involving all project-relevant data. The invoices will be created as a pdf-file and can be shared directly with the person in charge.

We are keeping you up-to-date on all information about launches, hotfixes and other improvements on Twitter.
